Then I remembered a similar incident a year or so ago with the oil companies developing curriculum for California schools with a “Drill baby, Drill!” theme to the education. Monsanto’s picture books teaching our youth about the benefits of biotechnology is one step closer to our food system being destroyed. The biotech companies, including Monsanto, our building a public relations campaign around teaching our future generations to embrace GMO’s and advocate the deathly organism a norm for the 21st century.
Whatever happens in the years ahead, the work of Earth Care and all the other non-profit organizations teaching our future generations about the benefits of grow your own, local food, and seed saving is crucial to humanity’s survival.
