SAFE ROUTES TO PARKS &
SAFE ROUTES TO SCHOOLS

Earth Care, in partnership with the Railyard Conservancy, the Santa Fe Conservation Trust, the MPO and others, will be working on a Safe Routes to Schools community study to assess the infrastructure and transit options in our communities on the Southside. We need adequate infrastructure to get our educators, staff, and students to and from school safely both via car but also provide the freedom to bike, walk and use public transit! This study is still in development but the Safe Routes to Parks study we collaborated on this summer is a prelude to this work!

REPORT: COMMUNITY HEALTH PROFILE SANTA FE SOUTHSIDE SECTOR GREENWAY LOOP

The Community Health Profile report talks about the need for improvements to the Southside of Santa Fe specifically regarding transportation and outdoor recreation access. Even though Southside residents have been aware of disparities in investment and infrastructure in these neighborhoods, this report lays out the needs formally.

The area in this report focuses on a residential area with its boundary to the north and west, near Veterans Memorial Highway aka NM 599. To the south, the area is bordered by Airport road.
