2022 Santa fe public Schools School Board Appointment
Earlier this summer a seat opened up in District 4 of the Santa Fe Public School Board. District 4 includes Southside schools: Capital High, Cesar Chavez, Ortiz, Nye ECC, Ramirez Thomas, Nina Otero Community School and Sweeney.
The Board gets to pick the next District 4 Board Member who will finish the remaining term ending in December of 2023. At that time, the community will be able to elect a candidate for the next 4 year term. Although we do not get to select the replacement for the current vacancy, we believe it's important that the community hear directly from candidates who submitted an application to the district. We deserve the best representation, we deserve a voice in the selection.On Monday, we hosted a forum with all 5 candidates & we sent them a questionnaire. The Board is expected to make a selection today, Tuesday July 26 or in the next few days.
A principios de este verano se abrió un puesto en el Distrito 4 de la Junta de Escuelas Públicas de Santa Fe. El Distrito 4 incluye las escuelas en el Southside: Capital High, Cesar Chavez, Ortiz, Nye ECC, Ramirez Thomas, Nina Otero Community School y Sweeney.
La Junta elegirá al próximo miembro de la Junta del Distrito 4 que terminará el período restante que finaliza en diciembre de 2023. La comunidad podrá elegir un candidato para el próximo período de 4 años en Noviembre de 2023.
