We are dedicated to holding our elected officials accountable to the health of future generations. The state of New Mexico is home to the Permian Basin, and has become tragically dependent on oil revenue for the state budget.
We need elected leaders who have the creativity, vision and integrity to co-create a new economy, ecology and way of life with New Mexico residents.
We need swift and decisive action.
As young people directly impacted by the investments and actions of our state, will ensure that candidates and elected leaders hear our voices and face the reality of our endangered future with justice, equity, accountability and courage.

2024 Primary in June
YUCCA Action will be releasing candidate questionnaire responses and our endorsements in critical races
in May ahead of early voting. Stay tuned!

With our communities and globe already experiencing the devastating effects of runaway climate change, we need to invest in a just transition away from fossil fuel dependence, and fast! We need elected leaders who have the creativity, vision and integrity to co-create a new economy, ecology and way of life with New Mexico citizens. We need swift and decisive action. We the next generation will ensure that candidates and elected leaders hear our voices and face the reality of our endangered future with justice, equity, accountability and courage.
